This is a pleine aire landscape. 11x14 oil on canvas board. Started as a color/light and shadow study but quickly turned into a finished piece. 997 to go.
A painting can be a mirror for our soul and to pause and wonder with awe at the reflection is not vanity. GB
Lovely contrasts of sun and shadow, it looks a beautiful place to be in. The sky is very beautiful. Keep going!

ReplyDeleteDiane, Thank you so much for having a look. Believe it or not I tried to restrain the use of too many colors but ended up with my mixtures talking to one another and the conversation was great so I recorded it. For me, seeing this painting is more like listening.
